Resources for Professionals and Organisations

Resources are available to professionals and organisations working with, young people, or adults in Liverpool. This includes schools, colleges, housing and community services.

Campaign background

ReachOut Liverpool is a Public Health campaign to help prevent suicide. It was co-created based on consultation with people and professionals in Liverpool, including those who have been impacted by suicide.

ReachOut has 2 main aims:

  • Reach out helps someone who may be having thoughts of suicide to get help
  • Reach Out helps people know how to help if they are concerned someone is thinking about suicide

ReachOut aims to address the stigma and fear that prevents conversations about suicide and encourages people to Reach Out to get help or offer help when needed so that suicides can be prevented.

Suicide prevention training

These resources may encourage people to ask questions or seek support about suicide. Wherever they are displayed, we recommend that staff or individuals in those settings complete the Zero Suicide Alliance’s free 30‑minute suicide prevention training. This training helps build the confidence and skills needed to have safe, supportive conversations.

Resources available to order

We have posters, postcards and business cards to order.

Resources are best positioned in places where people are able to engage with them discretely, for example lifts, stairways, lobbies, reception areas, waiting rooms, break-time areas, community notice boards and toilets.
